A hedge trimmer- reminds me of the first time I tackled my hedge with my mum sitting proudly watching on the garden wall egging me on with ' I just love to see my daughter tackle 'men's jobs'- it was 30 years ago!
Suddenly while basking in this compliment, there was a loud snap- I'd trimmed through the electric cable -thank goodness my health and safety obsessed husband had plugged it into an isolator- who knew- anyway- suffice is to say my dear mum had to eat her words and my next purchase was a battery operated one to finish that hedge! :)

To be honest, even a battery operated hedge trimmer gives me the shudders; although the thought of a spot of aesthetic topiary could be fun ... ♡
