Hi Rachel, this title grabbed me but for the opposite reason - I'm going nowhere and have fallen into a trap of 'plenty'. I've amassed a pantry stockpile that seems to indicate I'm preparing for end-of-days, and every time I try to whittle something down (I'm looking at you, coarse cornmeal, panko breadcrumbs and farro) I seem to accidentally buy new ingredients. As you reduce your stores these coming weeks can you please provide some more tips on tackling 'the obscure dried good'? thanks!

Hi Laura, some initial thoughts for tackling your end-of-days pantry ...

- create a shelf or cupboard area for all your obscure dried goods; that way they will be constantly winking at you

- tackle them one at a time; farro (use instead of rice; cook up the whole bag, portion it and freeze it, which makes it much more useable); panko breadcrumbs (mix with cheese for a cauli cheese topping etc)

- I wonder if you go to the supermarket with a list on those occasions when you 'accidentally buy new ingredients'?!

Happy tackling! xx
